Sorry it has taken me so long to post about our FATNTASTIC day! While cleaning up from our big event, I managed to severely cut my right index finger on a pair of scissors. Thank goodness one of my friends is a hand surgeon and was able to stop by my house to give me 4 stitches!
It's a little hard to type so I'll just tell you briefly about the highlights!
- We have wonderful customers!!
Our store is rather SMALL (440 sq ft!) It was great to see people making new friends, sharing stamping tips and having a great time! - Our instructors are the best!
Julie, Jen, Leah & Mary inspired everyone with their beautiful card creations, stamping tips & tricks and joyful personalities. Special thanks goes to Julie for helping me cut paper until the wee hours of the morning!! - Cupcakes, cupcakes, cupcakes!! - My wonderful husband baked & frosted over 200 yummy cupcakes for our event. He's amazing!!
- We had fun making personalized key chains using our clear polka dot letters set & our clear stickers.
- When it comes to scallop oval punches, one can never have too many! I have ordered more so if you still want one, we should have them in later this week.
- We offered "secret" discounts at the checkout counter - one lucky customer received 40% off her purchase and it was her birthday!! Nobody chose one of our 50% off tickets {there were five in the bowl!!} We will keep these for a future event... the odds are much higher now because there are just a few tickets left in the jar!
- Harriet from Clearsnap dropped in and brought us some fantastic doorprizes for our event. Thank you, Clearsnap!!
We are grateful to all of our wonderful customers for making this day so much fun.
I am grateful to the A Muse crew (Heidi, Cindy, Nina, Chris, Megan, Lisa & my daugther, Hailey) for making this day possible!
I will post some pictures soon!

Oh, Linda! I hope your hand heals quickly! Sounds very painful!
I am so glad you posted about your day. I have been chomping at the bit to hear some tidbits about the event! So glad that it went well and was a huge success. There was no doubt in my mind that it would have been any different!
Can't wait to see pictures when you have a chance!

Like Sarah, I too have been chomping at the bit to hear more, and it sounds like a fabulous success! Congratulations!
I am sorry to hear about your finger... OUCH! Keep the motrin going, and hold it higher than your heart when you think about it. (Cuts down on the throbbing!)
Thanks again!
