It's funny how both Elena (our first Guest Designer) and Amy, have created a few farm-themed cards. I have dubbed these the "Farm Series".
These cards remind me of the summer in Quebec and bringing in the hay on my uncle's farm. I've never been to the Canadian prairies, where Amy lives. I would imagine that these farm scenes are fairly common. I have had friends cycle across Canada and tell me that they spent endless days on the prairies watching the wheat fields s-l-o-w-l-y pass by as they rode on.
This first card is a cheery scene with our friendly Cow stamp. I love how she added the tiny daisy to the grassy stems. The cow looks like she is enjoying herself immensely in this field of flowers. Amy used a white gel pen on the color the cow so she stands out more on the green band card. I must try that!
This next card is so bright and fun. I really like her choice of colors - looks like August to me! I like how she paired the Marvy mega & giga scallop oval punches.
This last card in Amy's farm series shows what a careful stamper she is. The hay wagon and the tractor are actually two separate stamps but you would never know by her expert stamping. I love how she stamped them on one of our papaya ric rag tags... the road is gold (paved in golden wheat, of course!)
Amy is busy choosing a prize for one lucky person that comments here at the A Muse News blog on her card creations. I can't wait to see what she chooses. To qualify, you may post comments on any post that includes one or more of Amy's cards.
Make hay, everyone!

I love that little tractor... I just visited the farm.. now I have to get these stamps! DArling... lovein that red gold color scheme too!

These are all soooo adorable! You really never would know that that tractor and wagon are separate - great job Amy!

These cards are awesome - so bright and cheery! I adore the green tractor, so John Deere. The hay stack makes a very unique background - I love it. Of course, any one who has ever baled hay cannot look at these without getting thirsty - I feel that August heat and hear the cicadas singing as I type...Thanks Amy!

Growing up on a farm in Iowa these stamps are close to my heart. These cards are great inspiration when searching for ideas for my "farmer" dad. Thanks A Muse for your farm inspired stamps and thanks Amy for the great ideas!

I love these cards. I have always loved black, red and goldenrod. The colors are timeless! I love the country...back roads, animals and crops to look at (I'm from Georgia and onions are big right now), men on tractors with straw hats...it's very relaxing and scenic! I love how you stamped the wheat bundles in the same color on the goldenrod paper, just a shade off...so classy! I just made a cow card with the grass and the moochas grassias stamp yesterday!

Love the red tractor on the gold paper with the hay sheaves. I was trying to resist all the farm stamps, but I will probably have to give in now - they are really cute!

Those are familiar scenes from rural NE OH too. Where do you get those spikey things that the cards are on? I love them.
Amy did an expert job of using the fancy scissors. I can never get the corners to look right. What's the trick Amy?

Living in the prairies as well, these cards sure do bring a smile to my face.

Fabulous artistry Amy! I love the "just stitting here thinking of you" tractor card... genious. Great use of color and simplicity - very elegant and "country" at the same time. It seems like a scene that could come from the Canadian prarie or Napa! :)

Heah Amy! I love your cards! As a farm girl working with Dad on the land (and loved it) I could relate to all three. Wish I would have had the tractor stamp even last year to do up for his birthday(retired now) as we have an old international tractor that looks identical!! Anyhow, well done!

The tractor pulling the hay wagon card really "spoke" to me! "Make hay while the sun shines" is a chapter in one of the Little House on the Prarie series of books and your card just makes me think of Laura Ingalls Wilder riding up top of that filled hay wagon home from the field because her Pa didn't have any sons to help him! Girl POWER!! (Though they didn't have a tractor to pull THEIR hay wagon!!)

Amy you brought back memories from 45 years ago. Riding on a tractor and going to the hayfields with my Landlord and his wife while I was living in Germany. It brought back all the hard work that was done to get the hay in and on the wagon just like in the picture. We used the huge long rakes to rake the hay into strips down the field and then the guys loaded it on the wagon with their pitchforks. Quite different from how its done here. But that was a long time ago. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

"The farm series"? I love it! Once again, these cards are terrific! A little more complex, perhaps, than the last batch -- but wonderful as well! Clever, artistic, impressive -- and still wonderfully recreate-able (is that a word?) ambassadors for all the fun that is rubber stamping!
