I finally downloaded my pictures from the Grand Opening of Paper Tales in San Diego. What a beautiful store! Here are a few photos to share.
Michelle has been a part of the A Muse Crew for 2 1/2 years. She decided over year ago to open her own paper-crafting boutique. Her lovely new store has been open for just over one month. Paper Tales is full of wonderful products (LOTS of A Muse, of course!) and delightul displays. And, Michelle and her creative staff are just the nicest gals!
This adorable kids' craft table is tucked neatly inside the front of the store (see all the A Muse clear stamps on the wall!). When I arrived, there were a couple of kids quietly creating masterpieces.
Michelle's store logo features a vintage birdcage. I love how she has incorporated this detail into the displays throughout the store. I think I counted SIX birdcades in the shop (but there may be even more!)
Aren't they sweet?
Here's another one on a shelf behind the cash counter.
I had such fun teaching on Saturday. I was amazed at how many wonderful ladies had travelled from afar to take my classes at Paper Tales. Thank you! I was so honored! Thank you also to Emily (aka as Scoopy), my mom and Val for their help with the classes.
Hi Naomi & Kumi!! These gals drove from LA (Kumi is actually from SF but flew to Naomis' so she could come to Paper Tales!!) It was great to visit with them again... They visited the A Muse Shop in Seattle last summer.
Naomi baked these beautiful & delicious cookies and brought them to share! They were *almost* too beautiful to eat... almost!
Anthonette (left) & Ann (right) also drove from LA for the class. Hi gals - thanks for coming!!
It was fun to meet Trish (Miss PRISS). She has a fun blog and more photos from Michelle's store - including one of my cute mother who HATES to have her picture taken.
Trish came decked out for the occasion, sporting "kitchen" polka dot toe-nail polish! So fun!!
Here's Stephanie, hard at work on one of her class cards. She is retiring from corporate life very soon and will be making handmade cards to sell. Her new business venture is called Labor of Love - I love this name. Good luck to you Stephanie!
I will leave you with a photo of the banner I made for Michelle's store. I just *love* making these banners - they are SO easy and look great! We will be releasing a JUMBO version of our polka dot alphabet later this month so you can make your very own banners just like Michelle's! Stay tuned - I will be be sure to let you know the second it's available!
Oops! I forgot that I have one more photo to share. As you have seen, Michelle pays great attention to detail. Isn't this bunny the cutest thing you've ever seen?!! And, LOOK at that pretty card holder behind the bunny!
Thank you to everyone that joined us for classes at Paper Tales. In the words of the CA governor... "I'll be back". You can count on it... my SeaWorld passes are good through Dec. 2008! <wink!>
