I had so much fun making butterfly-themed cards for last Friday's TGIF class! We received some new butterfly punches in the store and I just couldn't stop making butterfly cards!
Here are the other cards that we made on Friday.
This card uses a FAB new Colorbox Chalk Ink color - Berrylicious. It is positively yummy. A *must have* color in my book! It's the darker pink color on this card.
This butterfly is a teeny punch that is a new mini punch duo called 'butterflies' from EK Success. There are two punches in the set - the other is a butterfly profile.
This next card features the A Muse Monarch butterfly stamp. The Monarch is stamped in Honeydew Encore ink from Tsukineko and heat embossed with clear powder. I love the Encore ink colors but they take ages to dry. Embossing allows me to use the stamped image right away. I'm an instant gratification girl so this works for me!
I love the new A Muse clouds paper. A little bit can make your whole card a lot happier!
Another new favorite of mine is VersaFine Imperial Purple ink. Purple is everywhere this year. I wasn't a purple kinda person but with so many options to choose from, I find myself liking it more and more. Imperial Purple is a nice change from black or brown for stamping your sentiments. And, VersaFine always stamps a great impression!
This next card is quite a deviation for me... very little stamping, lots of patterned papers. Any guesses as to how I lined up my squares so nicely? Look really closely and you will might see.
This is my last butterfly card for this post. This card features another new EK Success butterfly punch. This one is a bit bigger than the one used in the pink card above. It is a single punch called butterfly. The wing span of this butterfly is 1".
I stamped our large thanks stamp and then traced the outline of each letter with a Signo white gel pen. I was just playing around but liked the look. VersaMagic Cloud white ink stamps nicely on A Muse notecards and papers.
I hope you are having a great weekend so far. Did you play along with the A Muse Pajama Party?
Stay tuned for more butterfly cards!
