This week, we have a fun "all occassion" spring card from Lexi.  I love the colors she chose - such a happy combo!  There are so many possibilities with this muffin basket stamp - use it for a brunch invitation, thank-you to a hostesses, on a tag for a care package, or even pair it with the "stud muffin", "bake sale", or "welcome wagon" sentiments!

Gardening Time!

Don't you just love these bright and cheery colors?!  I have something fun to share with you this week!  If you are reader of Becky Higgins blog, you may have seen her recent "sentimental touch" post where she shared a photo of her pillows of the month made by her mom using "Fanci That Designs" cross-stitch patterns.  Well - those patterns were designed by our very own Beth Hendzlik, who also illustrates all of our Saltbox Studio stamps!  And, the April Banner stamp set that Elena used on this card, was actually inspired by a cross-stitch pattern that Beth created for "Fanci That" called "Farmer Hare" - which you can see below!  How cool would that be to make a card that matches a cross-stitched gift?  (Be sure to read on below, because I have a suprise for you!)

Homespun Mittens

Some cute cozy mittens for you from Becky this week.  Becky stamped the mittens on scrap paper and then cut them out so she could feature them in these colorful circles!  I know many of you in the East are dealing with a winter storm this week - hope everyone is safe and staying warm!

A "tweet" Valentine design for you from Lexi this week!  Aren't these two birds the perfect pair for a Valentine card?!  And Lexi was so clever and hand-lettered "on you" along with just the "Tweet" portion of the "Home Tweet Home" stamp (found in the Tweets companion set)!  I also love the two paper patterns she chose and the added bling of the red twinkle stickers!

This mouse is just so cute with his big snowball! If you look closely, you'll see that Becky stamped the mittens and sentiment (from the Brrrrr set) on shrink plastic to make a tag!  Such a fun trick!

Hmmm... might have to dig out some of my son's old baby socks and hang them on the tree this year!

Today I have two fabulous Saltbox Studio designs to share with you!  On the first design by Kelly, I love how she outlined the tree in cream - really makes it *pop* and also adds a warm vintage feel.  Then on Elena's stained glass window design, she used the Copic colorless blender in the center of each colored pane to make it look realistic - so clever!

Saltbox Studio - more sets revealed!

The new Saltbox Studio Holiday sets are so much fun.  These FIVE new Holiday Stamp sets have versatile images that are sure to make you smile!

I hope you have been enjoying the sneak peeks from the Saltbox Studio Designers over the past few days.  Here are a few more great card ideas using the new Holiday sets. This next card by Jennifer A, showcases the adorable Santa that is part of the new 'Classic Christmas' set. I just love the stars on Santa's mittens and the skinny candy cane he's holding. 

This next card, designed by Kelly, features the sweet angel from the 'Joy to the World' set.  She reminds me of a Christmas ornament we hang on our tree every year. 

This last card, designed by Becky, features a striped stocking from teh Brrrr set.  Becky omitted the hanging loop so they just look like a pair of socks! Becky's pair of stamped socks reminds me of a pair of socks that Nanny (my grandmother) made for me a looooooooong time ago.  I pulled them out a few days ago because my girls want me to teach them how to knit socks. Such memories!

New! Saltbox Studio Sets

We are excited to bring you NINE new clear stamp sets today from The Saltbox Studio.  I love the "folksy" art style of The Saltbox Studio images.  They all work so well together AND I love to combine them with A Muse images too!

The tall pumpkin from the new Pumpkin Oak set is one of my favorite images.  Here's a quick card that I made with the tall pumpkin and the A Muse Tiny cat.  It cracks me up!

Saltbox Studio Sneak Peeks - Give Thanks

Our first sneak peek today was designed by Lexi and features images from the Give Thanks set!  Lexi colored the pilgrims to make them look like they are wooden - very clever!  This set is perfect for Thanksgiving cards and decorating since it also includes a pumpkin and cornucopia! 

Elena designed this next sneak peek which features the large pumpkin from the Pumpkin Oak set.  The small pumpkin with the curled stem is also included in this set and then Elena also used pumpkins from the Give Thanks and Fall Banner sets.  I love Elena's use of masking to create this fun grouping of pumpkins!

Today's last sneak peek, featuring the adorable "welcome to our patch" sign, also from the Fall Banner set, was designed by Jen.   The rustic look Jen gave the sign looks perfect with the vintage cardstock and notecards in autumnal colors.

Tomorrow is release day and we'll have one more set of sneak peeks featuring the Christmas sets!

Our Saltbox Studio sneak peeks today were both designed by Mary Rose and feature candles from the Holiday Lights set!  There are so many possibilities with this set since it includes seven different candle images!  I love how Mary Rose combined the different paper patterns and stitching - gives them a warm and cozy feel!

Saltbox Studio Sneak Peeks - The Kid's Table!

Our Saltbox Studio sneak peeks today were designed by Elena.  There are actually sneak peeks of THREE stamp sets on these fun place cards!  The two in front along with Becky's in back all feature images from the Kid's Table stamp set.  Then the pumpkin candle is from the Holiday Lights set and the leaves on Jen's place card are from the Give Thanks set.  I love how Elena combined all these images to make place cards for a fall party - to go along with the invitation below (which also includes sneak peeks from the Kid's Table set)!

Our Saltbox Studio inspiration this week features some fabulous designs by Lexi Daly using the Farm Friends set.  This is one of my favorite Saltbox sets!  Some fun things to look for in her designs....  notice that she used gingham ribbon on the first card to tie-in with the Rooster's checkerboard belly!  On the second card (country welcome), I love how she used punched scallop layers as the grass!  Then the ric rac Pretty Little Paper made the perfect water for the swan on her "Have a Lovely Day" design.  Enjoy!

For our Saltbox Studio feature this week, I chose this fun "farm country" tag card by designer Jennifer Alcivar.  She selected a mix of stamps from three different sets that work perfectly together.  I love her coloring and choice of colors.  And notice that she fringed the grass on the front of the card!

This week, the Saltbox Studio designers have some cozy cards to share.  As I was adding their cards to this post, I noticed a few fun details in their designs.  Jennifer's subtle sponging around the edge of the white layer adds warmth and helps the candle image *glow*.  Then on Lexi's card, notice how she did the ribbon wreath hanger!  And can you tell what Becky did to make the branch on her comfy & cozy card?

Saltbox Studio - Fun with the new stamps!

We have more fun Saltbox Studio cards to share with you!  This rooster design by Kelly just POPS!  I *love* his checkerboard belly!

Kelly used four different Saltbox sets to create this design.  The rooster is from the new Farm Friends set, the heart is part of the new Summer Banner set, the sentiment is from the new Simplicity Set, and the fence is of course from the Fences set!

Jennifer used the new Summer banner set and A Banner Year.  Oh - and the little "Howdy" is from the Farm Friends set.  I love that there is a flag on the side of the barn - reminds me of when I lived in Ohio - where there are barns across the state that are painted with a special Ohio Bicentennial logo!      

   

Then on this design by Mary Rose, she used the angel from the new Americana set and made it into a Christmas card by adding the "Season's Greetings" from the Deck the Door set!

And this last card was designed by Lexi and features the new Americana set.  With the stars above and below this sentiment, it doesn't need anything else - simple and perfect!

NEW Saltbox Studio Stamps

My dear friend, Beth, has outdone herself with the new Saltbox Studio release for April.  This month's release includes six sets in total with lots of versatile images. It's amazing how much time it takes to create the art for these sets.  Much time and effort goes into each element but I think the end results speak for themselves! 

My favorite stamp set is Mama Mouse & More.  Just look at the adorable little ballerina mouse.  With two ballerinas in my house, I know I will be using this darling stamp LOTS! I love how Beth colored the images to give you an idea of how they might look colored in.

There's a new Stamp Company on the block?

The Saltbox Studio is a brand new stamp company from the mid-west that is premiering this week.  They have selected A Muse to be their exclusive distributor and we are very excited about this. 

The owner and illustrator of this new company is super talented.  Her fine art background, many years of experience working as a graphic designer for a top advertising agency, and her proven track record operating a successful business in the needle-arts industry means that stampers everywhere are in for a special treat!

The Saltbox Studio designs are a great complement to A Muse's existing products and open up even more creative possibilities.  You will notice that a few A Muse Designers are on the Saltbox Studio Design Team so I'm sure you will see lots of examples that combine both product lines.

Here is a sneak peek at a few of the images that you will see revealed throughout the week over at the Saltbox Studio website and blog.  The "launch" day is this Friday, January 25th, and the stamps will be available for purchase on this day. They have some exciting plans for the week so be sure to pop on over there.
