I have been anxiously awaiting this new "ink" pad... the Essential Glue pad by Tsukineko. Yes, there are other "glue pads" on the market but this one doesn't require heat!
It's so easy to add a bit of glitter to cards with this pad. Simply ink up your stamp, stamp and add glitter.
I have tried to do a few other things with this pad with mixed results. I didn't have much luck with micro glass beads. After the glue had dried, the beads came off with a light touch.
I have tried to mix with colored pigment inks (first ink with the glue pad and then ink with colored pigment ink) and this looked like it was going to work when the glue was still wet. Alas, when it dried, the glitter all fell off.
The good news is that it is SUPER easy to add glitter to your stamped images. So, go find your old bottles of ultrafine glitter and dust them off! You are going to want this glue pad. These two cards were fast and fun to make!
And, as a special offer to you, our faithful blog readers, we are offering a 20% discount on the glue pad (when you order one or more stamps from us) during the month of April. Such a deal! This is a blog only special.
Here's the Make & Take card we did at the shop last night. We used the glue pad to adhere ultrafine diamond glitter onto the flower (EKS Whale flower punch with the center punched out). Simple & sweet!
How cool is that! I've never seen this stuff before. Cute cards ... The happy bd little lady is adorable! Love it!

i'm having trouble w/the glue pad. i've "pressed" the glitter with the back of a small spoon, but alas it's still falling off after drying. any suggestions? btw- how much "glue" are you squeezing onto the pad?
thx!

Just a little advice on the glue pad for others-it works BEST on glossy cardstock-the glue gets absorbed into the surface of more porous papers so it won't work. Hope this helps.
