You can just tell that Birthday’s at Novell’s house are pretty special! Just look at these fun birthday cards she has created!
This first card makes clever use of our Scallop line stamp to create an awning from an A Muse Bold Stripe notecard. I love how she has the gymnast on the top juggling the Tiny gift! It certainly would be the funnest birthday ever! This card would be perfect for just about anyone.
Here is another take on the same juggling idea. This one might be more suitable for an older recipient that might be put off by the grammatical incorrectness of the “funnest birthday” word stamp. J I really like the colors that Novell has chosen for this card.
This next card also makes clever use of our scallop line stamp. Do you see it? She has used it to give the effect that our new Grasshopper is bouncing along the card to wish the recipient a “Hoppy birthday”.
This is the last birthday card for this post. It shows more of the scallop line stamp in action. Novell used one of our lime peel band notecards for the grassy base for the Grasshopper – this is one of my favorite things to do! It’s a great way to salvage any “mess up” cards (c’mon, we all make a few *bad* card!)
If you don’t have any of our Lime Peel Band notecards, you can easily achieve a similar effect by masking off the top portion of a white oval with a sticky note and then directly applying green ink to the bottom half of the oval (Clearsnap Colorbox Lime Pastel would be a great choice!) Using the sticky note to cover the top half will ensure that you have a nice straight line.
Remember; if you post a comment here for Novell, you will automatically be entered into our drawing (see the post Novell wants you to win for more details.)
Hope your day is f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s!
Great cards! That grasshopper stamp is the cutest ever!
