My husband loves parties! So, whenever someone suggests having one he is the first to say yes and volunteer to help. This almost always means that I get roped into helping in some capacity.
It all starts out so innocently...
dh: "Honey, do you have the invitation for last year's party saved on your computer?"
me: "Of course - I save everything! Why?
dh: "Do you think you can change the date and print one?"
me: "Why?"
dh: "I just need to make copies at Kinko's."
Now, of course, you know I *cannot* let him do this! I have to make the invitations for the party even though I'm up to my eyeballs in work. And, of course, the invitations have to be even better than last year!
The good news is that my dh is a fabulous stamper and is pretty talented with glitter glue (it's like caulking, right? LOL!) He actually stamped, colored, punched and glittered the cards - if only I'd taken pictures! All I had to do was design and print the invites.
I wanted to show you these invites for two reasons:
1) To show off my husband's stamping prowess! LOL!
2) To show you how you too can create fast and easy invites with our notecards!
To print these invites, I created a document in Microsoft Publisher (set custom page size to 4.25' x 8.5"), wrote the invite copy, popped a notecard in my printer and presto - cool party invites! Save the invite and you too can make invites in a flash! Don't know if you have Microsoft Publisher on your PC? Check in your MS Office folder - it comes free with every copy of Microsoft Office Professional and it is one of my favorite software applications! I truly *love* this software program!
LOVE it!! Great idea of using the note card design on the inside of the invite - so cute!!

That is the cutest. What are the deets on the open scallop - a mega scallop circle and 1 1/4 punched center? I would love to experiment with that more. I love the look.

very cool invite! i often enlist david's help with my invites too--no stamping or glittering, but cutting ribbon, putting labels, stuffing envelopes--the tv work!

Great idea and very impressive that your hubby will hop in the craft room (or should i say garage), get out his "tools" and get to work! Sounds like a fun guy...that and the fact that he loves parties!

These are SO cool!!! I love how the inside looks like a party, having the asterix in there instead of the outside!! :D Thanks for sharing!
