We're back from our journey to Sacramento to teach at The Paper Garden boutique. My mom and I taught S*E*V*E*N classes in two days. Phew! We had a lot of fun and I only forgot a couple of things! Fortunately, Stephanie was able to bail me out. I get really stressed about teaching away from home because I invariably forget something... ack!
It was fun to see some familiar faces... Tracy, Kathy & Barb and make some new friends too! Tracy Falco, A Muse instructor from the Bay area, was also in town and stopped by for a hug. Yay!
The Paper Garden is an amazing place. Stephanie stocks *every* A Muse product!! Here's a photo of one of her gondolas *filled* with products and sample cards.
and another...
If you look closely, you will see my mom, Stephanie and Barb in the back. My mom is helping Barb finish up a few cards. Look now at the top of the photo and you will see a GORGEOUS paper banner that Stephanie created. It is so fun and colorful. Unfortunately I didn't take any close-ups for you. You'll have to bug Stephanie to post one for us on her blog!
In addition to paper-crafting supplies, The Paper Garden is filled with all sorts of fabulous gifty things too. Here's a basket filled with Missy's adorable bears. We had a late dinner with Missy one night... soooo fun! (BTW, Missy will be teaching some classes at the Paper Garden so if you live nearby be sure to check out her blog for the details!)
Behind every successful woman is a wonderful mother... here is a photo of Steph and her mom.
And here is a photo of Steph and my mom.
We had a wee bit of free time before our last class on Monday and Stephanie showed my mom and I how to make some pretty cool projects - paper flowers, an origami box and cup, and a paper fortune cookie (like the one she made for her Guest Designer showcase). By popular request, she has written a tutorial for you on how to do this which we will share very soon so stay tuned.
Thank you, Stephanie, for your hospitality! You're the best!
So glad I got a chance to see you during your visit to CA Linda! Sorry we couldn't have visited longer (you had a nice full class going!) Stephanie's store is a wonderful haven chock full of A Muse and all sorts of other goodies. A definite must see for any crafter in Sacramento!

Thanks so much Linda for the wonderful classes and all the great tips. Also thanks to your mom for all her help. I'm practicing tying my ribbons. LOL! I took two of the Monday classes, in the AM and the evening one. Trust you will be able to come visit again and teach more classes. Thank you again!!

Thanks for the nice update Linda. I'm glad your classes went well and how special to bring your MOM along to Sacramento. I want to go to Stephanie's store someday. I love her art and the store looks like total eye candy. I want one of Missy's bears so bad. I love big sheets of beautiful paper.
Are you going to post photos of your vacation with your girls and MOM? I'd really love to see them when you have some free time Linda. I've always wanted to go to San Diego and I'd especially love to go to Michelle and Helle's new store in May. Heck, I'd love to come to Seattle too! Anywhere west would be just great. Thanks again Linda!

I LOVE the pea in the pod onesie! My mom has always called my sister "Sweet Pea", and when she had babies, my mom and I made her various "Pea Pod" cards and tags and projects. I'll have to make her a pea pod onesie of sorts for her next little one. Great idea, especially wrapped in clear with a matching tag. It's great. Thanks for sharing!
