So glad the school is taking your concerns seriously. That is very encouraging! Hopefully that lice will never return!

Can't wait to see your 'creative' post! :)

Thank goodness your school listened. It is almost summer, so you may avoid re-infestation. Our school eventually mandated a ten-day nit check for any student that had been sent home with lice.

Our school is very "green," and a few of parents were very casual about treating their lice problems, which made everyone else's lice problems last a lot longer!

Here's hoping yours is behind you!

You can safely and effectively kill lice with salt water or a sauna - learn how to kill lice without killing yourself or the earth......

Pediculicide POISONS do not remove nits and are dangerous. Among the reactions to poison shampoo or lice "treatments" are seizures, mental retardation, many different allergies and respiratory problems, strange tingling, burning, itching, attention deficit disorders, brain tumors, leukemia, cancer and death.

I have used a sauna and/or salt water to safely and effectiely kill lice (but the nits remain).

I have also used ½ oz. of Safe Solutions, Inc. Lice R Gone® Enzyme Shampoo and/or their Enzyme Cleaner with Peppermint per shampoo-type application to safely remove both lice and nits.

I just cringed when I read your first lice report, so it is encouraging to know that your school listened, and hopefully future outbreaks will be avoided. As for the grafitti...I so know what you are saying. I couldn't believe when I saw the McDonald's up the street from the Greenwood storefront that had been hit. Not that I am a huge McD's fan, but it was right there on the main drag. It is so very very sad, hopefully some deterrent will be discovered soon. Take care and thanks for sharing!
