I hope you are enjoying our Birthday Party so far!
It's hard to believe that it has been almost ten years since A Muse was just an idea kicking around in my head. What a fun and exciting time it has been. Of course, it's not all fun and games... there are many, many challenges running a successful business. But, for the most part it is a joy to do what we do because we know that YOU, our customers, appreciate our products, our community and customer service!
As I look back over the past nine years since A Muse began, there are a few people that I am especially thankful for:
My mother, Vi - My mother has always been a supporter of my crazy ideas! Here at A Muse, we often refer to my mom as our "secret weapon" or the "power of Vi". My mom lovingly makes between 10,000 and 13,000 sample cards a year. We send these cards to the stores that carry our stamps for display. That's a LOT of cards! My mom is a crafty maven with tips and tricks that constantly amaze me. She has always been my inspiration and I know that A Muse would not be the same without her. Love you, mom!
Heidi - If you have ever called or emailed A Muse, chances are that you have spoken to Heidi. She is the backbone of A Muse! Heidi was instrumental in bringing our distribution back to Seattle 4.5 years ago and the opening of our first retail location. She is my partner in crime and keeps me sane! Thank you, Heidi!
Julie - Many, many moons ago, I stumbled across an amazing online card gallery belonging to Julie. I emailed her right away to see if she might be interested in playing with our stamps and creating some card samples for me. (This was before anyone had such a thing as a Design Team). Julie has been creating stunning designs for A Muse for over 7 years! Julie's roll has evolved with A Muse and we are lucky to have her on our full-time team. Love ya, Juliette (that means "little Julie" and is my nickname for her. )
Heather & Emily: You may know these wonderful gals for their inspiring design talent. However, they do so much more behind the scenes. Heather manages and designs our website. Doesn't it look GREAT? She was instrumental in bringing you the A Muse Lounge and Design Studio. Emily manages our online newsletters and other aspects of our online marketing. Her organizational (and Excel) skills constantly amaze us. Thanks gals for all you do for A Muse!
Design Team - I have been incredibly fortunate to work with some of the best designers in the industry. These talented women juggle busy family and work schedules and somehow manage to find time to create simply. We will be introducing our 2010 Design Team later this week so be sure to check out that post to learn more about the "Muses" of A Muse.
Our stores - There is NOTHING like the experience of spending time at your favorite LSS (Local Stamp/Scrapbook Store). Rows and rows of rubber, paper, punches and more... mmmmm... yummy! Over the years we have been blessed with the support of the BEST stamp stores in the world! I have come to know many of our store owners personally and they are just the nicest people. I know that many of you have to drive long distances today to get to an LSS but I'm sure you agree... it's worth the drive. Thank you to all of our wonderful stores for your continued support. Thank you especially to Sandy at Monkey Love Rubber Stamps for being our FIRST wholesale account.
Instructor Team - A Muse was the first stamp/scrap company to have an Instructor Team. Four and a half years later, the team has grown and is still going strong. We are lucky to have a super talented team of instructors teaching classes at Local Stamp Stores throughout the United States and Canada. They are helpful and kind and spread the love of stamping (and A Muse!) wherever they go! Be sure to check out their blogs (linked on the left).
YOU - If you've made it this far, then you are truly an A Muse fan! <smile!> In all seriousness... we would not be celebrating nine years without YOU! Thank you for your support - we are forever grateful!
My family - last but not least, I am grateful for my wonderful husband and three girls. They are supportive and understanding and keep me sane. Love you all!

Everyone associated with A Muse is so nice and friendly. I have ordered on line, visited the Seattle store, took classes in the Seattle store and at one of the local stamp stores. I have never seen anyone in a bad mood. You can tell they really enjoy being part of the A Muse family. I also love the products. It is fun to create using the different stamps. I also love taking the A Muse classes. Novell has awesome ideas and I always learn something new. I enjoyed my class with Joyce and I am looking forward to an upcoming class with Rhianna. What can I say A Muse is the "Best"! Happy Birthday A Muse!

I love the smaller scale created by A Muse's notecards. As much as I miss the squares, the 4bars are even more fun.
Here's hoping you "have the funnest birthday ever!"

I love how fun, simple, attractive all the amuse images are! The more of them I get the more I want! But I also REALLY love the retail store. The appearance and design of it is so appealing AND most importantly, the staff is SO helpful! I stopped by once to get some masking tape and Linda showed it to me and asked if I knew how to use it. I sort of did, and said so. She she just grabbed some ink, paper and stamps, and showed me right then and there what to do! So helpful! And once at a TGIF class, her mother Vi suggested a stamp positioner to me (I am terrible at stamping sentiments straight) and she was SO right! Her explanation (along with Emily's video from her blog/YouTube) made ALL the difference! No more crooked stamps! Thank you so much A Muse for everything you all do!

Happy 10th Birthday A Muse!
I first ran into your stamps 5 years ago at a LSS, and I instantly fell in love. As a girl who really appreciates a hand written note and has saved many special cards, I have always appreciated stationary. When I saw your designs and how simple, yet so clever and creative, it turned a new idea on, I could add even more of my personal touch to my hand written note if I made it myself. And that was it...I bought my first couple of stamps ( for Halloween cards) and I have been addicted ever since. I can't tell you the last time I have purchased a card, but I can tell you the last time I purchased a new A Muse stamp! Thank you for being such a great inspiration!

The little A muse stamps pack a big punch. I am constantly amazed at the creative combinations the DT comes up with. Who would have though? I love the simple designs of your stamps. Where I've felt other companies get a little stale, A muse stamps are always fresh and fun. Thanks for being such a great company; my stamping life wouldn't be the same without you!

Linda - what a heartfelt and personal tribute to those important to you, and the a*muse beginnings!
i first "found" a*muse after stumbling into Julie's gallery on SCS - what inspiration she has provided to me through the years. of course, i could blame her for my a*muse addiction, but i really try not to complain about the good things ;)
i adore your images - and the great ideas from the design team - that keep me coming back for more.

Happy happy birthday amuse. It would be easier to tell you what I don't like about amuse than what I do like because there is nothing I don't like and everything I do like. Years ago (before there was a store), I made a pilgrimage out to see Heidi in the basement. It was so great to put a face to a name. Congrats on a wonderful accomplishment.

I love that every time I stop in at the A Muse store, everyone makes me feel special. Linda is absolutely the most kind, generous and helpful store owner out there! I mean EVERY time I go! The shop is cute, inspiration abounds, and oh my gosh, the events (Cupcake Social) invoke a wonderful camaraderie among all levels of crafters! Happy Birthday, A Muse!!

Happy Birthday A Muse! What do I love?!? What's not to?!?
I love
1) The STAMPS! I love that they are individual images so you can get just the ones you want.
I love that they are such nice images for coloring in and easy to personalize and make a scene!
2)Your DT! They make everything look so perfect! And they are geniuses with their use of images!
3) That you're in Seattle. 5 hours away from me. I plan on stopping in some time. But I also like that shipping is snappy. :)

I love having you be my local stamp store. Any time I walk by I am sure to have my spirits lifted and get some inspiration. The dogs have learned to slow their pace as we approach! Thanks for being a great neighborhood resource. Happy, happy birthday!

Love the simpleness and beauty of A Muse stamps! One can make a quick card or one more involved using several stamps. It always amazes me how people come up with so many designs using the same stamp. A Muse has the most versatile stamps of any stamp company. Then you came up with ribbons, papers, notecards and twinkle candy! Love A Muse!

I adore the whimsical style of stamps, they fit my style perfectly. I have been using your stamps since the beginning. I live in Portland and have taken a few classes at First Impression. Really miss Donnie and that store. Happy Birthday and many more.

Happy 9th Birthday A Muse! I have loved a muse for years now. In fact one of my very first stamps that I bought was an amuse stamp and now I have quite the collection! I've taken classes with Julie, drooled over dozens of amuse-bouches and I can't wait to oogle many more!
I have to say that I love the simplicity of the stamps, the creativity behind the designs and the sentiments and the a muse community at large. It's just a happy cheery place that always picks me up when I need it - thank you for that! Here's to many more birthday celebrations to come.....

I spotted the most adorable card at a local retailer and had to find out the supplier. This store directed me to Amuse on Greenwood a few years ago. I've been hooked ever since. The cards are simple, yet classy. I love the color combinations used on all the cards since I'm not a creative person. The owner Linda has always made me feel appreciated when she sees I'm in her store. I one time contacted her mother Vi, and placed a special card order from her. I received the cards in 2 weeks! The store displays are always bright and cheery, I instantly feel lifted upon entering the store. Linda and her staff are always helpful. Amuse is the model for excellent customer service and great products. I'm a loyal customer and can't wait for the new releases to come out. Happy Birthday Amuse!

Ya Hoo Ya Hoo Ya Hooeeee!! So Happy to celebrate your 9th Birthday with you. Amuse images make you happy! Happy to pick out, happy to stamp, happy to color, happy to create with and even happier to send!
I buy my stamps at Stampin & Scrappin Time in Bridgeport, NY and take classes with the talented and crazy Sherry Czarnecki. She works so hard to teach us such cool things to do with your stamps. Thanks for bringing some happiness to my world. Hugs, Kathy Greenia

I am new to the A Muse Fan Club, having just discovered your wonderfulness last fall.
I love the store, Linda's enthusiasm (I've only taken one class with you, but hope to take more - it was a blast!), the simple, elegant and whimsical styles of your products.
I'm just sorry I didn't know about A Muse earlier!

I love Amuse! I have all the stamps and live by the blog and the blogs of the design team... all of you have been inspirational over the years for me. I been stamping for about 15 years but I feel like I have grown up with you! I made 3200 cards for the soldiers last year and nearly all of them featured an AMUSE stamp! Thank you for your creativity!

There is so much to love about A Muse. The simplicity of the card designs and images that are so versatile. For three years in a row I've taken classes that Linda has taught here in Sacramento and this July will be the third year of taking classes taught by Julie. I've gotten to know Geeta, a design team member, by participating in her Bumper cards. These ladies are the greatest. Its hard to not mention Linda or Julie when talking about A Muse. Happy 9th Birthday, A Muse. Looking forward to many more years enjoying the stamps, cards, paper and everything and everyone that makes up A Muse!!

The best thing about A Muse is the images. You have some unique ones that can't be found anywhere else. The stamp cleanly and are so fun to color in. I am grateful for the quality of product you work hard to offer us.

I remember the first time I stumbled upon A Muse. (It wasn't that long ago...I've only been stamping for 2 years.) I found a local stamp shop-Rubber Stamp Fantasy-and was overwhelmed by all the wood mounts lining endless shelves. As I was browsing all the rubber goodness, I found a stand-alone section that had the cutest yet simplest little stamps. I was instantly drawn to it and tossed a couple in my basket (the sentiments are what really hooked me in the beginning). I spent a couple of hours in the shop that first day, but kept coming back around to look at this section where all the stamps said 'A Muse' on the side of them. After my first purchase, I stalked the internet to find out more about these stamps. Then I found your website and it's like the skies parted and beams of sun shone down upon me. I was hooked. Within 6 months I had an entire drawer full of A Muse stamps and could browse an online gallery or craft magazine and instantly tell which ones were A Muse...not only because I had the entire catalog memorized but also because the style is so distinctive and one that really "speaks" to me. I'm truly drawn to these little guys. Now I have quite an impressive collection of these little stamps that say 'A Muse' on the side, and lots of the cutest darn gingham paper you've ever seen. Among other things. :) Thank you so much for making this hobby even more enjoyable for me. Happy Birthday!!! I'll be around to see many more!!
