Designer's Corner

"I have to laugh because this entire design centered around one thing: Whether or not the largest of our round Clear twinkle Stickers would fit over the "o" in "fore". One way to check for this, is to stamp an image onto a scratch paper first, and then lay the sheet of twinkle stickers over the top to see how well it fits the spot you want to use it. Once I knew it was indeed a perfect fit, I just needed a putting green and the Putter and golf cart that I also wanted to use in the scene and everything fell right into place! I couldn't resist punching a circle from the new Kitchen Yellow paper for a sun...

As for a great tool, I must confess to loving the Essential Ovals Stamp Set itself! It truly is an essential set in my stash of background stamps because it is so versatile!"

Birthday cards

"As a mother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, etc. I am always in need of birthday cards. My kids need these all the time, too. So, when I find a card layout that I love, either because it worked perfectly or was so easy, I like to have lots on hand. So, I get into mass production mode. However, taking the mass production of cards back a step, it is nice to have the cards personalized for the receipient. One way I've found to do this is to add a small element that highlights the age of the birthday boy or girl.   

With this card, I added a small "3" to the corner for my niece's third birthday. By making up cards minus this embellishment in advance, all I have to do is stamp the appropriate number, punch it out and adhere it to the card. Presto, chango - I have a personalized card that took very little time to make!"
